How Long Until I Level Up in MapleStory Classic World?

Guide by MapleEXP · Updated

Estimate time to the next level from remaining EXP and your measured EXP/hour. Follow a level 30 example and understand pauses, zero gains and table coverage.

Start with remaining EXP and your current pace

Measure a session with the screenshot calculator. At the ending level, remaining EXP is the EXP needed for that level minus the ending EXP counter. Divide by the measured EXP/hour and multiply by 60 to get minutes.

Minutes to next level = remaining EXP × 60 ÷ EXP/hour

Worked example: level 30 at 36,000 EXP

Illustrative arithmetic, not a measured player session: the built-in table requires 95,700 EXP to advance from level 30 to 31. At 36,000 EXP, you have 59,700 EXP remaining. At 120,000 EXP/hour, that is about 29 min 51 sec.

Worked example: level 30 at 36,000 EXP
MeasureValue
EXP needed: level 30 → 3195,700
Current EXP36,000
Remaining EXP59,700
Measured rate120,000 EXP/hour
Estimated time29 min 51 sec

(95,700 − 36,000) × 60 ÷ 120,000 = 29.85 min

What can change the estimate?

Changing maps, party members, gear, buffs or downtime changes the pace. Measure again after a meaningful change. The next-level estimate is for the ending level of the session, even if you leveled during the measurement.

If the session gains no EXP, there is no positive pace from which to estimate completion. Check the captures and time interval instead of treating a missing estimate as instant leveling.

Read the experience-table boundary

MapleEXP uses its built-in level 1–100 table. Levels 1–49 were checked in game; 50–100 match historical/client data and have not all been confirmed by in-game testing. This range does not establish the game level cap.

This calculation estimates the next level at the measured pace. It does not model future training speed for an entire multi-level journey. Review the linked EXP table and current game values when interpreting the result.

Common questions

Why did the estimate increase after changing maps?

The latest sample may have a lower EXP/hour. The estimate uses that measured pace, which includes the time spent between your captures.

Does 29.85 minutes mean 29 minutes 85 seconds?

No. It means 29 minutes plus 0.85 × 60 seconds, which is 29 minutes 51 seconds.
