MapleEXP is an independent, free, non-commercial fan information site. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Nexon. MapleStory and game images belong to NEXON and their respective rights holders.

When you choose recognition, the selected game screenshot is processed in memory, cropped for recognition, and sent to our recognition service for text extraction. Check the image for personal information before submitting. On the production site, images received for region detection and recognition, together with recognition results or failure reasons, are temporarily stored in a private sample library to improve the photo calculator. Samples are deleted after 7 days (within the following hour), or earlier when the storage limit is reached. They are accessible only to site operators and are excluded from server logs, public pages and regular backups. Do not upload passwords, chat or unrelated personal content.

Recognition text and signed proofs may remain in a private retry cache until cleanup after 24 hours (within the following hour); proofs expire within 8 hours. Security counters expire and are cleaned within 7 days. Photos and share-card images remain in browser memory while in use.

Both the simple and the full calculator can save a training record locally instead: local records are kept only in this browser on this device (browser database), are lost when you switch devices or clear your browser data, are never uploaded or synced automatically, and are not used for the public efficiency board. Recognition still requires a network connection.

Characters, saved training history and favourites belong to your account and are stored on our server. You can export your data and delete individual records. Account recovery codes are shown once. We never put passwords, recovery codes or login cookies into public output. Server backups are private and retain up to 30 snapshots. Private history is not automatically deleted.

Anonymous usage statistics are stored separately. The server uses a local country database to determine the country or region of the visitor's IP address. Statistics retain only the country code, not the raw IP address; IP addresses are not sent to an external geolocation service. Country totals count page views, not individual people. Network proxies or VPNs may affect the inferred region. The public efficiency board shows aggregate map, job, level and efficiency data from verified calculations, with no account identifier, character name, photos or private notes. Map and party annotations are user supplied.

Game data is adapted from the OSMS Data Explorer CW Public Release, fixed source commit eae0b159 (October 6, 2026). Game images and text are credited to NEXON · MapleStory Classic World. Temporary 079 drops are labelled separately and do not imply verified CW drop rates. Data may differ from current in-game behaviour.

Feedback submissions and optional contact details are visible only to website maintainers, and deleted from active private storage after 180 days during the next hourly cleanup. Private routine backups may retain a prior copy for up to 30 additional days. A feedback ID and secret query code let you read your submission and the maintainer reply. Keep this receipt private; query codes are stored only as hashes on the server. Feedback limits use a keyed hash of the network IP, not the raw IP. Do not include passwords, recovery codes or sensitive personal information.
